The Central Railway (CR) will inaugurate its first MRVC rake on February 21. And the new generation swanky EMU rake will be put into service from the very next day.
According to Sowmya Raghavan, general manager, CR, with the induction of the new rake 12 more services would be introduced on the Thane-Vashi section. Not just that, there would also be a conversion of 12 nine-car services to 12-car services on the Main line.
With the conversion of nine-car services into 12-car ones, there would be a rise of passenger carrying capacity on the Main line as well.
