Commuters’ suggestions to be implemented

Based on the feedback given by commuters on Central Railway (CR), the Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has decided to implement several changes in the new trains sanctioned under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-I).
The railway corporation, the nodal agency procuring trains under MUTP, has asked the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai to incorporate the changes based on suggestions from passengers.
One of the proposed changes is to increase the leg space between seats in both first and second-class compartments by 10cm. The MRVC has accepted that inadequate leg space made seating inconvenient.
The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation has also decided to provide grab handles on the doors, while it will remove the poles at the door-step.
